Chatgpt drops Stack Overflow traffic: Many programmers switch to AI

It's no secret that ChatGPT can come in handy code-side. However, it is also interesting to take a look at the impact that AI solutions of this type are having on more "traditional" realities. Speaking of which, there has recently been a decline in Stack Overflow traffic.
In fact, as also reported by Gizmodo, taking into consideration the data of March and April 2023, the drop from month to month is 17.7%. The data is related to the popular SimilarWeb tool and may not be entirely accurate, given the number of variables involved, but what seems to be clear is that the arrival of AI is leading a large number of programmers to prefer ChatGPT and the like (who said GitHub Copilot?) as a "first solution" when it comes to getting code-side guidance.
In short, artificial intelligence now helps programmers and therefore the latter are a little less inclined to consult the classic portal that has been accompanying the programming sessions of many people for a long time now. Of course, conversations with unknown programmers related to Stack Overflow may not always give satisfaction in the debugging field, but certainly over the years the number of problems of that type resolved through the iconic website has been quite important.
It should be noted that Stack Overflow traffic has been declining since the beginning of 2022 , but the important drop of 13.9% was recorded in March 2023 (compared to February) and then in April the aforementioned drop was reached by 17.7% (compared to March). In short, it seems that artificial intelligence is starting to have increasingly concrete impacts.
